The Borderers support for Red Faces 2012

Hi Jim & Alex,

Thanks so much for your appearance and support for Red Faces 2012.
The event was a great success raising $18,000.00 for Grow SA. GROW is a community of persons working towards mental health through mutual help and a 12 Step Program of recovery. Small groups of people who have experienced depression, anxiety or other mental or emotional distress, meet together on a weekly basis to help each other deal with the challenges of life. Some people come to GROW while struggling with the loss of a job, a loved one or a relationship.

Once again thanks for your kind support

We should also mention that the BordererS are in the finals of the Festival4Stars Competition and will find out soon if they’re being flown to London to do an intensive week’s songwriting with Grammy Award Winning Producers etc… Alex & I would just like to say a big “Thank You” to everyone who voted for the BordererS. Cheers

Record crowds ensure Urban Festival success. The BordererS a Festival Highlight!

Caboolture has stamped itself as one of Australia’s major country music centres with more than 35,000 people attending this year’s QUT Urban Country Music Festival at the weekend. Enthusiasts from all over Australia descended on the Queensland Sunshine Coast centre for the festival that featured artists performing on eight separate stages over four big days of activities. Caboolture’s CBD took on a festive atmosphere as thousands of people swarmed through the Town Square and parklands for a huge array of free entertainment throughout the long weekend. One of the highlights of the festival was the opening night concert featuring The Borderers and the Bushwackers.

The BordererS Floor Las Vegas!

I decided to revive “Mama Jazz” ( Mama Knew Best ) because it was hugely appropriate for one of the theme days at the huge “Vegas Dance Explosion” in Las Vegas last November. The theme was gangsters and flappers, so the choreography of “Mama Jazz” was perfect and it turned out to be a huge hit at the dance event. It was a floor-filler every time the deejay played your music and a lot of new people became aware of The Borderers’ music…
